ResponsibilitiesThe sponsor is seeking systems engineering support to an existing Capabilities Development Team focused on identifying and transitioning operational technologies. The sponsor requires support identifying, evaluating, and managing vendor integration of communication technologies. The candidate shall identify capabilities to support Sponsor's customers' operational need for communication solutions. The candidate shall be instrumental in delivery of new technologies, services, and solutions to meet mission requirements.The candidate shall review operational technology needs and translate into technical requirements for operational technologies development.The candidate shall perform system engineering task in to identify, develop and manage vendor integration of COTS, GOTS and proprietary solutions as operational technology to support needs.The candidate shall provide briefs and demo of the solutions to the customer.The candidate shall help the sponsor identify technology solutions to address mission/customer requirements.The candidate shall review vendor solution offerings and assess proposed system designs technical and operational viability, applicability security and risks.The candidate shall develop CONOPS and test plans for integrated solutions. the candidate shall prepare the necessary artifacts for submission to the sponsor and external assessment organization(s).The candidate shall assist in the development of mitigation strategies to vulnerabilities identified in the assessments to meet operational deployment requirements.The candidate shall maintain awareness of technology trends in relevant information technology.The candidate shall monitor relevant research for potential impact on current or planned technology capabilities. QualificationsThe candidate shall have the following required skills and demonstrated experience:Demonstrated technical knowledge of commercial communication concepts and implementation.Demonstrated technical work experience in at least two (2) of the followingTechnology associated with commercial and/or private communications (terrestrial, maritime, air and space)Secure technologies for communicationsDemonstrated experience refining ambiguous customer or system requirements into actionable technical requirements.Demonstrated experience supporting technology solution development efforts including meeting facilitation, logistics, vendor communication and management, testing, demo and trainingBachelor's degree in technical discipline or equivalent combination of training and experienceKnowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Other demonstrated experience which are highly desired, though not required, include:Master degree in a relevant technical disciplineDemonstrated knowledge of operational technologyDemonstrated experience discovering technologies for integration into an operationally effective solution offeringDemonstrated ability to envision integration of disparate technologies/capabilities into a cohesive operational technology offeringdemonstrated experience creative or unconventional use of technologiesdemonstrated familiarity with Sponsor mission and business processesDemonstrated software design and development experienceDemonstrated data analysis and management experienceKnowledge of Sponsor's Project Management Framework (PMF)demonstrated technical knowledge experience of the Sponsor's systemsDemonstrated hands on experience with the Sponsor's security requirements and processesEducationRequires 12 to 15 years with BS/BA or10 to 13 years with MS/MA or7 to 9 years with Ph.D.Clearance - TS/SCI W POLY About PerspectaWhat matters to our nation, is what matters to us.
