As a Software Developer supporting the customer, you will be trusted to work across several applications supporting in the customer's development activity. In this role, a typical day will include:Utilizing SharePoint skills and third party tools to create tailored solutions, include making enhancements to existing websites.Building and managing intranet site with integrated analytics using custom software.Working both with existing team and independently on customer projects.Utilizing client-side scripting and an array of web technologies from JavaScript, jQuery, SPS, XML, XPath, CSS and AJAX. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.Minimum of 6 years related experience.Technical Skills: Designs and builds web pages using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools, including templates using Joomla and WordPress, Provides support to develop Web based applications including online customer service for agency components to be able to deliver their services online. Builds websites from concept all the way to completion from the bottom up, implementing client requirements, presenting crisp and innovative design layouts, Provide support in developing the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the website, Provide support for the implementation of interfaces to applications, Perform HTML coding, 508 compliance, graphics, and content updates, web crawls, and analytics reports, Tasked to ensure that documents are 508 compliant, 5+ years' experience designing and building web pages using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques and tools including templates using Joomla and WordPress, Experience providing support to develop Web-based applications from concept to completion, implementing customer requirements, presenting crisp and innovative design layouts, and Experience providing support in developing the site concept, interface design and architecture of the website.Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph Required skills/experience:Demonstrated, current, on-the-job experience designing custom web applications for SharePoint 2013 or 2016 using MS Visual Studio, SharePoint Designer and third party tools to create tailored solutions.Client-side scripting and an array of web technologies from JavaScript, jQuery, SPS, XML, XPath, CSS and AJAXData migration from Lotus Notes databases to SharePoint and/or web environmentsDesign, develop, and implement software consistent with the development process and contemporary software techniques to create efficient methods.Contribute to and improve software development processesBuild and manage intranet site with integrated analytics using custom software.Create new pages, forms dashboards and reports syncing with other databases to provide up-to-date information used to guide business decisions.Confirm project requirement by reviewing program objectives, input data, and output requirements with analyst, supervisor and client.Create work flow charts and diagrams using knowledge of programming and logic.Analyze data contained in the corporate database, identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and implement solutions.Create testing environment with detailed test plans to to technical specifications and test cases based on software/hardware requirements to determine bugs and whether product improves efficiencies.Experience with reverse engineering of legacy application and database environments.Agile Development solutions to resolve high priority issues Desired Skills:Competent in SharePoint design and/or web-based application developmentUnderstanding of all phases of the MS Software Development Life CycleKnowledge of cycle and process methodologiesStrong understanding of relational database design and web technologiesHighly competent in technical writingAbility to word in a fast-paced, small team environment under minimal supervisionKnowledge of Databases, MS operating systems, MS office suites, Anti-Virus software and Backup/Recovery SoftwareProvide Lotus Notes support to existing usersKnowledge of or experience with WordPressDemonstrated on-the-job experience incorporating usability best practicesExperience with Server-Side scripting with PowerShell and/or Ansible WHAT GDIT CAN OFFER YOUAlignment to a mission-critical role that directly impacts the customer's ability to effectively execute its mission.Direct engagement with contractor leadership that centers upon career development/mobility, enhanced performance evaluation, and corporate information sharing & networking opportunities.Placement on a dynamic team of talented professionals that organically fosters an environment of innovation, collaboration, and trust.
