Alion is looking for an Agile Systems Associate Analyst that supports work with the customer and our development teams, assists design and helps build applications that meet our Department of Defense, Federal and commercial customers requirements regarding security assessments of various types. The candidate will be part of a team that interfaces with the customer to: Develop understanding of as-is analyses of existing security processes to assist in process to identify, define, interpret, and clarify scope of problems/issues in terms of business/systems requirements and processes Become contributor to articulate the customer a to-be state (product vision), Participate in the process to document and drive requirements clarification with the customer using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis Contribute to the effort to develop a product roadmap, identifying epics that match the customer s need for delivered capabilities Contribute to the development of an application in functional phases by participating in an Agile Scrum process to assist in the completion of the product backlog and participate in the events surrounding the software development sprints. Contribute over time to participate in testing of software iterations The ideal candidate will over time become an agile team member who is will be eager to learn and build a limited background in addressing customers software/application requirements in an Agile environment. The candidate must be comfortable working as part of a team in meeting with the customer and quickly grow to be a self-starter. Position requires good analytical and problem-solving skills, building an understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Some experience writing/eliciting Epics and experience decomposing them into User Stories. Basic Qualifications: BA/BS Degree Self-starter, ability to maintain productivity and learning in absence of specific tasking Strong experience with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Limited experience developing software requirements packages helpful Strong time management and multitasking skills. Detail oriented, strong collaboration skills and proven ability to work in a diverse team of software professionals. Some experience with AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites. (eg, JIRA, Confluence, Github Enterprise, etc.) Desired Qualifications: Experience in security processes such as physical security, personnel vetting, information security, cyber security Experience in Department of Defense or Federal project Experience with risk analysis software (eg CounterMeasures or its DoD variants, EPRM/SMS) Security Clearance: SECRET required to start Must be willing to submit for TS/SCI Security Clearance: Secret
