Position: Radar System Fielder/Trainer JOB DESCRIPTION: Seeking knowledgeable, highly skilled and experienced Tactical Radar Systems Subject Matter Experts with Counter-Fire Target Acquisition Radar Operations experience for a Fielder/Trainer position in support of Product Manager Radars at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD or Fort Sill, OK. The Radar Fielder/Trainer is an integral member of the PdM Radars program office and fielding team. Serves as the primary subject matter expert for Radar Systems Field Services to include but not limited to operating, fielding, training, maintenance and sustainment of the AN/TPQ-50 and AN/TPQ-53 Radar systems. Must be a self-starter with the ability to function autonomously, possibly in austere locations, with little or no direct supervision. Must be able to clearly and accurately communicate (verbally and in writing) complex thoughts and ideas. Preferred candidate must be comfortable interacting with and mentoring all military ranks from the newest Soldier to the experienced leader. Duties, Responsibilities and Skills Knowledge in Tactical Radar Systems, Counter-Target Acquisition Radars is preferred, operations, fielding, and supportability Knowledge and understanding of radar theory, radar design, field testing, and electro-mechanical maintenance analysis, including troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair/replace techniques, and documentation Ability to support operational and test events for the AN/TPQ-50 and AN/TPQ-53 Radar Systems Knowledge and experience with the Army equipment fielding and new equipment training processes Knowledge and experience with preparing and maintaining equipment logs, equipment modification and utilization records, exchange tags and calibration data cards Knowledge and ability to assist and provide input for development and update of training, maintenance, logistics publications and system user and support documentation for the AN/TPQ-50 and AN/TPQ-53 Radar Systems QUALIFICATIONS The following qualifications are required for position. Must be a US Citizen and possess an active SECRET security clearance This position requires IAT Level II Certification (ex. CompTIA Security+) IAW with DoDD 8570. The preferred candidate must be CompTIA Security+ Certified or sign an agreement that Security+ Certification will be achieved within 120 days of hiring. Must be world-wide deployable and agree to sign a deployment agreement to deploy to a theater of operations, if directed Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite products, particularly Word and PowerPoint Must have a valid US Driver's License and be able to obtain a valid passport within 90 days of employment Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time and up to 75% by exception EDUCATION BS or BA degree from an accredited college is preferred.
