Per OPM Qualification System for Trades and Labor Occupations, the applicant's experience, education and training must show enough knowledge, skills and abilities to demonstrate the potential to successfully perform the duties of the position. Responsibilities
As a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC at the WG-4749-10 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Performs electrical work installing, modifying, repairing, and testing new and existing electrical lines, circuits, and systems including wiring, conduit and other electrical equipment.
- Work involves diagnosing and locating malfunctions, dismantling, repairing, reassembling, installing, replacing, and performing preventative maintenance on large systems that provide for a variety of heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
- Installs, modifies, and repairs new and existing utility, supply, and disposal systems.
- Develops contract specifications and inspects the services rendered by contractors and completes necessary forms in accordance with inspection duties.
