Good working knowledge of both hazardous materials and hazardous waste. The position requires oversight of the procurement and disposal aspects of the Hazardous Materials Control & Management Program, including but not limited to working with tech codes and detachments to get correct ZPNC numbers for new hazmat purchases, overseeing and coordinating Authorized Use Lists (AULs) and inventory using the Navy Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) function, conducting periodic inspections, and providing training to tech code personal who handle both hazmat and hazardous waste. The incumbent shall coordinate directly with the assigned regional hazmat hazardous waste contractor to arrange for pickups of hazardous waste throughout the base, and coordinate with comptrollers to arrange for the payment of both regulated non-hazardous and hazardous waste disposal.
