Responsibilities: Design and develop cutting-edge solutions, using existing and emerging technologies Identify challenges and technical interdependencies and suggest solutions to address them Provide technical leadership to the design, development, testing and implementation of solutions to crucial business problems through thoughtful use of modern technology Leverage sound judgment and problem solving to tackle some of Capital One's most critical problems and connect the dots to broader implications of the work Use quantitative analysis to impact key business decisions Effectively communicate with and influence key stakeholders across the enterprise, at all levels of the organization Lead team technically, provide coaching and development, drive architecture/design reviews focused on business requirements Provide a point of escalation for teams facing extremely complex technical challenges Strike the right balance between lending expertise and providing an inclusive environment where others' ideas can be heard and championed Keep up-to-date on cutting edge technology, standards, protocols and tools in areas relevant to the rapidly changing environment at Capital One Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills Define, structure and plan work independently Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree At least 8 years of software development experience architecting & delivering enterprise platform solutions At least 5 years of experience designing and developing applications for the cloud with a focus on containers, microservices, and serverless concepts At least 3 years of experience working with cloud technologies, open source, DevOps, and modern design patterns At least 3 years working in an Agile environment Preferred Qualifications: Masters' Degree 10+ years of experience with technology solutions in one or more of the following area: Development frameworks or languages (NodeJS or Python or Go), Container Platforms, Serverless, Microservices, Data Streams, DevOps, and CICD 5+ years of experience with public cloud implementations (AWS, GCP, Azure) 5+ years of experience as a full-stack developer Capital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization for this position.
