Kforce has a client that is seeking a GL Accountant in Alexandria, VA.Summary:The candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, aiding in the implementation of new accounting software, providing accurate analysis of financial information, identifying areas for improvement and implementing improvements to processes, assisting with auditor requests, and handling sensitive information.* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience* 3-5 years of accounting/finance experience* Prior Public Accounting experience* Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills* Experience with accounting software* Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization* Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation* Highly detail-oriented* PeopleSoft/Blackline preferredKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
