MAXAR Technologies is looking to add a Financial Project Officer to support an existing Program Management Office with the financial data and project management tasks. This position is located in Reston, VA. Life with Us: Project: We're supporting a customer who has a fast-paced and exciting mission within the intelligence community. The Financial Project Officer will work directly with the PMO, acting as a trusted agent in a high visibility position. We are looking for someone who is highly detail-oriented, an experienced project manager, and has a strong mastery of DoD budget activities. You will work with your direct supervisor and/or a mentor to set appropriate goals and design a plan to help you make consistent progress. Day-to-Day with your Colleagues: You will sit on-site, alongside the customer, helping to manage their projects. You will serve as a leader and provide expert advice to government stakeholders on Project Management principals. You will monitor the execution of projects by capturing obligation and expenditure rates, and provide risk mitigation strategies when necessary. You will monitor funding schedules to ensure projects are in-line with the Department of Defense (DOD) and Intelligence Community (IC) regulations and best practices. You will assist with DDD/POM budget building activities. You will educate government stakeholders on DOD/IC PPBE and acquisition regulations. You will assist with Project planning and charter development. You will advise customers on innovation methodologies including lean startups, minimum viable products (MVP), and agile project management. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across the DOD/IC community. You will provide briefings to senior government officials via written reports and oral presentations. You will research and resolve ad hoc problems. Minimum Requirements: Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to obtain a CI polygraph Requires 5 years of relevant experience in the DoD/IC. Bachelors degree in business administration, the management or related field. 4 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Preferred Skills: Active PMP, DAWIA, or similar certification. Strong Microsoft Excel experience, with proficiency in all of MS Office. Experience in managing project finances, schedules, and milestones. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving skills. Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking. #cjpost
