Specialized Experience:
GS-09: You qualify for the GS-09 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal government, performing the following duties:

Responsibilities
- Serving as a member on the Office of Investment Security's Committee on CFIUS team, a Treasury-led inter-agency body that conducts national security reviews of transactions that may result in foreign control of a U.S. business.
- The Office of Investment Security CFIUS team, including the CFIUS Coordinator, coordinates the participation of all Commerce units in the CFIUS process.
- Prepares verbal/written briefing and transaction clearance materials for high-level ITA and Commerce officials; Analyzes complex financial transactions and prepares clear and concise summaries for senior decision-makers.
- Participates in inter-agency meetings and coordinates with other CFIUS agencies; Conducts research and analysis on the commercial, technological, and national security aspects of transactions under CFIUS review.
- Coordinates internal ITA and Commerce reviews of assigned transactions, leveraging the breadth of technical expertise available across Commerce.
