Responsibilities

As a INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties:

- Supports the DCSA CI Directorate in identifying and informing on foreign intelligence entities' threats. Provides DCSA with CI analytic expertise related to critical technology and training.

- Performs research and analysis in multi-disciplinary field of CI related to threats to critical technologies. Strong oral and written communication skills required.

- Serves as a technical expert on CI and counter-proliferation issues for the agency involving CI integration at facilities where critical program information resides.

- Researches, processes, synthesizes, exploits, integrates, evaluates, analyzes, and interprets available (primarily raw) information and data.

- Develops, plans, and contributes, to a comprehensive training program on CI, foreign intelligence entities' threats to critical technologies, and related issues to DCSA employees in the field and at DCSA headquarters.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.

Specialized experience required for this position is: Knowledge of Defense Industrial Base and National Industrial Security Program (NISP) to identify and integrate security, counterintelligence, and intelligence issues as they apply to international business and areas of threat and vulnerability from the perspective of targeting DoD classified information and technologies. Extensive knowledge on supervising assigned personnel to support regional operations, CI collections, and associated CI activities to reduce risk to cleared facilities with classified information and technology. Extensive knowledge on supervising assigned personnel to process and track incoming reporting, and determining suitability for referral to external agencies for investigative follow up or operational exploitation. Ability to consolidate, track, and report monthly metrics.

DCSA, as a newly designated Defense Agency is undergoing a multi-year transformation that includes a significant expansion of predecessor agencies' authorities and responsibilities. Mission accretion and associated growth in personnel and resources requires deliberate coordination and planning across operations and support activities to achieve effective outcomes while simultaneously establishing and integrating new activities, initiatives and projects. The new organization will be comprised of nearly 13,000 government and contractor personnel operation throughout the United States and overseas supporting stakeholders across the federal government.

Employees Serviced by DLA: Civilian Federal employees who receive human resources servicing through the Defense Logistics Agency DO NOT need to submit supporting documentation if applying through merit promotion.
