Iron Bow Technologies is looking for an experienced Director of PMO for Managed Services to lead our PMO for our growing portfolio of Cloud, managed, as a service, and program support service desks. The ideal candidate is someone who is willing to roll their sleeves up and use their experience to drive instrumental change and impact across our quickly growing portfolio of recurring services. This person will establish, improve, implement, develop, and manage best practices for project management throughout our managed services organization. In addition, this person will also enforce and update all policies and processes of the project lifecycles to ensure delivery of these projects according to plan and within budget. It is the responsibility of this role to create formal methodologies and define key project, performance and resource allocation metrics, drive financial, project risk, process accountability, and project deliverable fidelity through a mature governance policy. You will have the ability to drive significant organizational change by making an impact supporting our new paradigm of services. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Cloud & Managed Services, this role will serve as a key strategic leader on the managed services team and work collaboratively with our service desk delivery leaders, product managers, and pre-sales consultants. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain the overall financial portfolio within the managed services organization Provide business, portfolio, and project reporting and analysis to internal management Drive accountability, rigor, and maturity across the organization through PMO governance Work with other department leaders to define, prioritize and execute on projects; monitors project dates, tasks, hours, risks, challenges and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle Manage, coach, mentor, motivate, and hold accountable the PM team, including owning all aspects of recruiting, onboarding, retention, engagement, training, mentoring and professional development Responsible for all project management processes and tools. Continuously assesses PMO based on key metrics to achieve goals. Communicate and ensure best practices and project management tools & processes are applied to address unique situations Drive high customer satisfaction (both internal and external) on projects during execution, engage customers for real and critical feedback Proactively lead PMO delivery and approvals for multiple concurrent Project Managers, tracking completion of action items, resolving issues, mitigating risk while monitoring financial performance of projects. Communicate appropriately at all levels within the company as required to meet PMO objectives and goals Executive-level collaboration; working closely across multiple departments including accounting, sales, order management, and delivery Influence executive leadership within the business areas to create and maintain alignment around the PMO business objectives, measurable benefits, success criteria, scope, and constraints impacting PMO delivery Work with project teams to foster collaborative and mutually supportive relationships with tech Leads, service delivery leaders, and management Handle internal and external escalations and issues Identify new opportunities (business development) within existing customers when possible Research and drive tool implementation to automate and optimize PMO operations Requirements: Experience in being a part of a highly driven and professional leadership team focused on business results Proven track record of being an integral leader with experience building and managing a technical PMO group; can draw from experience, have a vision, make an impact, and execute quickly Understanding and experience in solving global delivery challenges by leveraging collaborative tools, methodologies, and disciplined exit and entrance criteria and enforcement Customer and service-centric mindset Experience managing or creating a highly functional PM team focused on financial performance Ability to lead, influence, and persuade in order to impact positive change Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills Ability to manage several projects simultaneously; varying customers, aggressive deadlines, and requirements Experience with process improvement, process design, and measurement of progress and results Proficient in Project Scheduling and Project Lifecycle best practices Highly responsible, results-orientated, self-motivated, with excellent organizational skills, and able to work autonomously Ability to lead across departments to achieve a single objective Strong communication (both verbal and written) skills are a must Managed Services experience desired Strong financial acumen and project budgeting experience from a Managed services or professional services/ consulting organization; strong in data metrics analysis and working with spreadsheets Experience forecasting, tracking, and managing project budgets, and actual project financials Bachelors degree in the relevant field, Masters preferred or equivalent experience 10-15 years experience in project management with 5-10 years experience in a leadership role Familiar with MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or other project management tools Experienced with Scrum/Agile desired but not required Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification required US Citizen and ability to obtain Government Security Clearance Iron Bow Technologies is a leading IT solution provider dedicated to successfully transforming technology investments into business capabilities for government, commercial and healthcare clients.
