Our client is looking for 2 Software Engineers to join their TCS (Tactical Control Systems) submarine program immediately. These engineers will be focused on developing software for the Combat System portion of the Control System. They want candidates who have actual programming projects and who can speak to why they used the technologies they used on those projects. The main skill sets they are looking for are candidates who have developed in either C or Java on a Linux based system and have experience with front end web technologies. Our client operates in a Matrix format meaning even though an engineer is hired for a specific project initially, they will end up being put on other projects to learn new skill sets as their initial project comes to an end. With that being said, the more skill sets they can bring to the table and the more flexible the candidate is, the better the candidate will fit into the organization.This person will be on the the traditional production software team for TCS for the first 2-3 months helping finish some tasking From there they are going to transition to the Re-Architecture team and help set the system up for usage of web based technologies.Best vs Average Candidate:-Best candidates were leads on their Senior Design Project or Internship-Best candidates also have personal engineering projects they work on during their own timeRequirements:-Engineering Bachelors Degree (Preferably above 3.0 GPA)-5-10 years of C or Java programming experience (MUST have experience working with a design pattern)-5-10 years of experience programming on a Linux OS (must know how to change directories at the command line)- 4-6 years of experience with Python or Bash scripting (need to know what script to write to find what files are in a directory in a Linux OS)- 3 years of experience with Containers (Devops, Kubernetes, Dockers)- Experience in creating an Orchestrated Environment - (PAS: Platform as a Service)-Experience in Web Architecture, or full stack web development**_- Must be eligible for a Secret Clearance_ About Aerotek: Your success starts with the right career opportunity.
