Job Description BI&A is seeking a Database Engineer to join their Prime contract / top-tier team. Experience with: * Oracle 19c databases: admin, performance, tuning, IAVA patching, Oracle Rest Data Services * Cloud Control: all of the above (Cloud Control reporting is a plus) * Willing to (lightly) administer MySQL and MS SQL Server databases on demand * and various non-relational DBs (a plus) * Oracle wallet and PKI-enabled application logins/connectivity * Data and database security aware: * Familiarity with Splunk is a plus * Oracle Unified Auditing * Relevant reporting for auditors and ISSOs * Familiarity with data tagging concepts (not just - or even - Oracle Label Security) * Able to unwind and "democratize"/modernize/document complex PL/SQL processes and packages * Take the initiative to do the right thing, get involved with adjacent processes + people (ETL, app development etc), willing to look for a "balance" between ideal and functional * Documentation, communication: written and verbal, lots of each * Not afraid to speak up REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Active TS/SCI with Polygraph * Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience * Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred * 20 years' experience as a Database Engineer, in programs of similar scope OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: * Good network performance modeling or benchmarking skills * Skilled in time, priority and task management * Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members * Good communication skills to interact with team members and support personnel * Good leadership skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel * Ability to anticipate problems, resolve ambiguity and take decisive action * Ability to work independently and as part of a team BI&A is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
