The Raytheon Technologies (RTX) Special Programs and Space Mission Analysis Engineering organization is currently seeking a Systems Engineer for a revolutionary new Space program. RTX needs a Systems Engineer who brings space systems leadership, engineering, capture, and proposal experience to a growth-oriented organization. To excel in this position experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools for software architecting and software systems design and being comfortable with agile development methods and geographically dispersed teams is key. At RTX our Senior Systems Engineers (SE) will be given the authority and responsibility to develop a ground demonstration program within the Special Programs portfolio of Space Systems. The SE will support the technical performance of all Systems Engineering activities including engineering decisions impacting system development, integration, verification, and work products delivery while ensuring the product meets all technical specifications, operational requirements and customer expectations. The SE will support the generation and management of artifacts associated with a Technical Baseline which include Technical Performance Metrics (TPMs) / Key Performance Parameters (KPPs), operational views, architectures, compliance matrices, system specifications, interface requirements specifications and system designs. SE responsibilities include: * Aiding with the Generation and management of artifacts associated with a Technical Baseline which include Technical Performance Metrics (TPMs) / Key Performance Parameters (KPPs), operational views, concept of operations (CONOPS) architectures, compliance matrices, system specifications, interface requirements specifications and system designs. * Support development and flow down of systems requirements, error budget trees, and performance modeling, simulation and analysis * Support development of test strategies, verification plans, and test procedures * Integration of hardware and software * Support systems engineering products (eg, studies, designs, analyses, reports, etc.) meet objectives/expectations * Creating technical presentations to both internal and external customers * Present at technical reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TIMs) * Communicating status, results, and recovery plans (if needed) to senior management * Support the Lead System Engineer to ensure flawless program execution Required Skills: * Minimum 6 years of industry experience * Exposure to architecture, hardware, software and system integration of Electro-optical and/or infrared remote sensors * Experience being a part of technical teams and providing technical mentoring to others * Experience in preparing and delivering briefings to management * US Citizenship status is required as this position requires an active US Security Clearance as of Day 1 of Employment * Active TS clearance Desired Skills: * Exposure in developing and experience in delivering operational hardware and software * Experience in DOORS or similar requirements management software and/or processes Required Education: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sciences, Math, or related STEM discipline Desired Education: * Master's degree in Engineering, Sciences, Math, or related STEM discipline **U.S. Citizenship Status is requires as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems** #ideasinorbit #Space2020 166998 Raytheon is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
