Job Description The Boeing BDS division is seeking a Senior Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) Engineer to support our team in either Huntington Beach Ca or Herndon Va. Primary Responsibilities: * Substantial experience in an engineering discipline on complex technical development programs, including integration and test planning and execution * Exceptional organization, communication (oral and written), and methodical execution skills * Work independently to develop solutions to complex technical issues. * Demonstrate leadership and the ability to work effectively in a team environment across all engineering disciplines (EE, ME, SW) * Capable of decomposing top level requirements into logical segments, elements, and subsystems with considerations for interfaces and contractual scope. * Adept at transforming complex technical capabilities into logical and comprehensive diagrams, tables, etc to convey concepts and designs to others. * Capable of defining detailed concept of operations * Capable of recognizing technical risks and developing mitigation plans * Experience with requirements definition, decomposition, and tracing, as well as associated toolsets * Familiar with specialty engineering disciplines for safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, and operator considerations. This position requires a Tier 5 (T5) (formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)) that has been successfully completed within the last 5 years. (A US Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience): * 5+ years experience in a systems engineering capacity * BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Math, Physics or Engineering is required Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience): * Ability to work effectively in a team environment across all engineering disciplines (EE, ME, SW) Typical Education & Experience: Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation: This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
