Responsibilities Responsibilities: Responsible for supporting a large scale federal loan program as the lead internal auditor. Experience in federal financial services preferred, although commercial audit experience will also be considered. Responsible for auditing and documenting business functions and processes. Will act as a liaison between a bank, a federal client, Guidehouse internal leadership, and external auditors. Strong interpersonal communication skills and organizational skills required, as well as knowledge of financial loan origination and servicing systems. * Support the audit manager and senior auditor overseeing operations for a federal loan servicing project. Experience in leading an audit team including planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, and reporting. * Serve as liaison between Guidehouse, government stakeholders, subcontractor support, and external auditors. This role supports key program stakeholders in audit resolution and other inquiries as the primary liaison between auditors and other entities. * Provide key inputs for monthly operational reporting to government client. Reporting includes key operational performance metrics, service level agreement compliance, and updates on prioritized projects across the engagement. * Support annual tax reporting process Qualifications Qualifications: Required: * Knowledge of financial loan origination and servicing systems, experience drafting business requirements documents for modernization and enhancement efforts. * Experience serving as an auditor for External/Internal financial statement audits, SSAE-18 audits, independent validation and verification (IV&V) audits, and Tax. * Bachelor's Degree Desired: * Experience in federal financial services Additional Requirements * The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
