Maxar is looking to add a solid Back-End Developer to our team We possess some amazing talent in all other areas of the development stack, & now we need someone to plug into the back-end full-time to help us bring our tech stack to life. You will work with your direct supervisor, and/or a mentor, to set appropriate goals and design a plan to help you make consistent progress. Day-to-day with your colleagues: Collaborate with our geographically dispersed team primarily via Zoom & Slack. Work in a Lean-Agile environment on 2-week sprints and releases planned for every 3 to 4 months. Leverage frameworks, Springboot or Flask, to build server-side software. Design data schemas along with functions/processes to interface with databases. Own the APIs & support improvements to enable new front-end features. Minimum Requirements: Must be a US Citizen with a current/active TS/SCI security clearance and be willing and able to pass CI polygraph. Bachelor's degree in a related field, eg Computer Science, Engineering (4 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree). 5 years of software development experience, the majority on the back-end. Recent experience with some of the following tech: Languages: Python, JavaScript, Java, Go. Architectural Concepts/Technologies: REST APIs, Postman, microservices, event-driven architecture, authentication/authorization, security best practices. Datastores: Elasticsearch, Postgres, MongoDB. Cloud technologies: AWS EC2, S3, Lambda, Cloudfront. Containerization tech: Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes. CI/CD: Jenkins Operating Systems: Linux, Unix Git version control & branching workflows. Data Transformation/Technologies: Apache Nifi, parsing XMLS, XML, and/or Pubs formats. Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of Agile methodologies, specifically frequent, iterative releases that rely on user feedback to refine features over time. Certifications: Security+, AWS, CSM/CSPO. Experience using/developing GraphQL APIs. Desire to grow into a leadership role. #cjpost
