The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities of actionable insight-rich MIS with a focus on report development and report automation for the Fraud Operations and Client Experience functions. Responsibilities: Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, Agile Development & Sprint planning.Solves / works a variety of high impact, high-profile problems / projects with considerable business impact through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes and industry standards.Role delivers high quality reporting visualization products utilizing standards for coding, testing, debugging and implementation. Ensures application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint. Demonstrates advanced understanding of supported main system flows.Ensure that reporting and business intelligence Operational Reports are working, updated timely, and down time is communicated and minimized.Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues and recommend advanced programming solutions.Manage and execute on projects to implement new functionality and changes to reporting and BI tools - document business requirements, document testing requirements, assist in testing, and train end users.Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. Create sophisticated Power BI and Tableau Dashboards leveraging SQL data structures as a data source.Create and run queries for use in reporting and data analysis linking disparate data sources across Teradata, SQL Server and Oracle platforms both on an ad-hoc basis as well as automated jobs utilizing ETL tools such as SSIS and Autosys.Provide reporting and BI subject matter expertise, support and training to the Fraud Operations teams to enhance their skills and achieve, over time, increased self-sufficiency on their side in using basic and intermediate reporting and BI capabilities.Maintain and publish documentation of data and BI tools (user guides, models, metadata, etc.).Metric development for Fraud Operations and Client Experience reporting.Provide continuous improvement through the automation/streamlining report production. Qualifications: The candidate should be a highly versatile individual with great attention to detail and dedication to high quality work.5 - 8 years of programming/software development of operational dashboard/MIS and/or other relevant experience.Advanced knowledge in the Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS,SSAS,SSRS,SSMS).Additional experience in dashboard/reporting technologies (eg Tableau, Power BI) is required.Advanced knowledge of Excel including VBA is required.Experience in managing and implementing successful project utilizing Agile Scrum methodology.Experience with report creation (including designing executive-level reports and dashboards) is required.Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods.Experience with development tools like Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server is required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.Ability to work under pressure and manager deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements. Education/Location: Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience.This position may sit at any Citi US Operations Site but Irving Texas is preferred.
