Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As an Assistant Nurse Manager you will:
•Assist the Manager with the overall operations of their assigned department. This includes and is not limited to: development of department goals and objectives that are consistent with the AHC's mission and strategic plan, the management of personnel with eye on financial stewardship
•Be responsible for scheduling, distributing and balancing workload among Care Navigation staff and assuring timely accomplishment of work
•Assist the Manager with data collection, performance audits, and maintenance of departmental measures of success graphs and other reports requested
•Collaborate with the Manager in standardizing training and orientation materials and educating new staff in new regulations and processes.
•Support the Manager in daily huddles and staff meeting preparation so that all care navigators participate and provide information that will prevent delays or denials in discharge.
•Ensures that delays of care are minimized and that effective discharge plans are developed to navigate patients to the most appropriate level of care in a timely manner

Qualifications Include:
•Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Social Work or Healthcare Administration
•2 years' experience in patient navigation, discharge planning, or care coordination
•One year preferred
•Current RN, LBSW, LMSW, LCSW, LGPC license to practice in Maryland
