As an Air Traffic Control Equipment Repairer, you help ensure flight safety by performing field and sustainment-level maintenance and installation of all air traffic control equipment for the Army National Guard. As a member of the electronic maintenance team, the Air Traffic Control Equipment Repairer is responsible for the maintenance and installation of air traffic control communications, navigation aids, and landing systems. In short, planes can't take off or land without you. Job training for Air Traffic Control Equipment Repairer consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and 38 weeks of Advanced Individual Training and on-the-job instruction, including practice in repairing and replacing equipment parts. Training consists of both classroom and field work.
