The Desktop Support Analyst devises and executes the solutions for workstation hardware and software issues or for segments of more complex software problems. The position assists with the installation and support of new and upgraded workstation hardware and software and ensures the integrity and optimal operation of the hardware and software as assigned. Candidates for a desktop support analyst position should have extensive experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems and network connectivity. They must be customer service-oriented and proactive in anticipating and resolving problems while maximizing efficient use of computing resources. Principal Responsibilities (Essential Function): * Maintains, troubleshoots, and provides technical support for laptop and desktop computer build process. *Deploys new hardware to end-users while ensuring appropriate user settings and user satisfaction. * Work on requisitions of new equipment to determine application needs for new and existing users. * Interfaces with systems administrators to ensure appropriate logins/passwords are created for corporate applications and network resources. * Must be prepared to contact remote users and other employees to determine the status of login creation and to retrieve necessary files from existing users. * Perform hardware upgrades (memory installs, hard drive upgrades) as required. * Must be able to lift desktops, laptops, monitors, printers and other IT related equipment. * Complete assigned tickets in timely manner. * Perform software builds on computers for new hires and/or transferred employees. Required skills: 1. Must have experience building/configuring and deploying PCs specifically within Windows 7 and Windows 10. 2. Imaging computers (no specific tool needed) but in a Windows and MAC environment. 3. Must have experience in deploying new images and hardware in a professional environment.
