Summary: The Data engineer role guides the Data Integration development team in the design, build, and deployment of the project's data integration components using Informatica technology. He/she insures that best practices are used and high quality work is delivered. He/she acts as a mentor, advisor and facilitator while providing guidance to his team. He/she has the ability to break the work into comprehensive chunks and provide accurate estimates. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the technical team in developing, remediating, testing and deploying Informatica ETL code. Responsibilities: * Design and develop integration patterns * Develop framework for converting existing PowerCenter mappings and workflows. * Create architecture/design documentation for PowerCenter * Create technical specifications from business & functional requirements using the Velocity framework * Provides guidance to development team working on the Informatica * Documents and oversees adherence to best practices * Can work as a senior developer when needed * Helps defining work methodology and structure * Makes sure that quality standards are defined and met * Can provide workload estimates * Removes roadblocks that are in the way of developers * Works closely with QA testers to ensure quality * Reviews components developed by the members of his team to ensure quality * Insures developers are productive and work in an efficient manner Skills Required: * 10+ years of IT industry experience; * 9+ years of Data Warehousing experience with at least 5+ years as an Informatica ETL Lead; * 2+ years of Alteryx experience * 1+ years of AWS experience * 5+ years of Data Quality experience The client is looking for someone who has worked with tools such as Alteryx, Snaplogic, Spark and can help them make decisions what tools will best suited for them moving forward.
