Develops solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems of moderate scope and complexity. Performs complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end. Oversight of complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools. Performs complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis. Performs continual maintenance and provides complex solutions for security, backup and redundancy problems. Prepares and maintains a range of documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects. May provide guidance to less-experienced Systems Engineers. Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology. May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS BABS (or equivalent experience), 5 years of experience Program Specific Requirements Datacenter Engineer responsible for marrying Datacenter network solutions with end userend device requirements. Will work with a team of network engineers and systems engineers to design and implement technical solution, and perform the following network and server-related tasks Develop Datacenter, LAN, WAN, and Client Access networkssystems Integrate, Test and deploy systems Perform full lifecycle management of network systems (building, deploying, maintaining) Monitor networks Required and Preferred Skills and Qualifications Required Active TSSCI clearance will full scope polygraph with most recent BIPolygraph dates within the last five years or the ability to successfully complete the required security processing to meet this requirement. 5 years of relevant experience in the areas of Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems (or comparable documented work experience) Recent hands-on experience with Cisco Datacenter, WAN, LAN, Client Access, and Firewall solutions. Recent hands-on experience with Firewalls and VPN Concentrators. Recent hands on experience with Network load balancers Knowledge of and recent hands-on experience implementing best practices for securing routers, switches, firewalls, etc. Hands on experience with and advanced knowledge of networking, routing, switching, sub netting, firewalls, VLANs, ports and protocols. Knowledge of IT and information security subject matter to include knowledge of various operating systems, network protocols, and programming concepts and hands-on implementation experience. Experience with managing engineering projects (ie, design, build, deploy) Strong analytical and problem solving skills demonstrate ability to analyze complex situations, determine course of action and act promptly and effectively when problems arise Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Powershell, python, etc. Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication skills Ability to travel, primarily CONUS Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently as well as on collaborative teams. Preferred Experience designing, building, deploying and maintaining sensitive networks Experience designing, building, deploying and maintaining Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) networks Experience building, deploying, maintaining, Cisco ASAs via Firepower Management Experience building, deploying, maintaining, Palo Alto firewalls via Panorama Experience building, deploying, maintaining, Citrix-application Delivery Controllers Experience with One Way Transfer Solutions and data flow management Knowledge with SIEM and security analytical technologies (eg, Splunk, pcap, Netflow, Tetration, Solarwinds, etc.) Experience with Linux OS, Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS Experience with Azure Azure stack networking concepts Hands-on Experience with cloud technologies, their provisioning and security Ability to assess emerging technologies, determine their impact on corporate systems and incorporate them into technical plans We are GDIT.
