REQ RQ46924 Travel Required None Requisition Type Regular The Network Integration Engineer role is a contributing member of an established network team, expected to function under direct as well as operate independently. Primary responsibility is establishing and sustaining custom transport solutions using a combination of internet based networking protocols, commercial technologies, publicprivate cloud resources and cyber security best practices. Duties include designs, implements and maintains custom internet-based data transport and communications solutions. This role involves networking, Linux, virtualization and publicprivate cloud technologies. The Networking Integration Engineer is responsible for system hardening as well as developing scripts andor automating solutions to securely enable effective communications. Extensive knowledge of computer and network security concepts, including understanding of networking, routing, switching, subnetting, firewalls, VLANs, ports and protocols Experience with networking and VPN technologies, to include enterprise (ie, CiscoJuniper) and open source implementations (ie OpenVPN) Experience with Linux system administration and security Experience configuring and deploying network and web services including DNS, DHCP, SMTP, Syslog and HTTPS. Experience building and deploying Linux instances in both public (ie, Amazon EC2 or other virtual private server - VPS- environments) and private cloud environments (ie, VMware) Experience with virtualization technologies, including hypervisors, virtual machines (VMs), virtual desktops, and virtual networking technologies Experience with scripting languages (ie, BashPythonetc.) Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues Ability to support infrequent domestic travel and provide after-hours support to critical issuesoutages as needed. Experience architecting, building and sustaining multi-node and multi-vendor IPSECSSL based data transport solutions on the internet preferred Experience designing, building deploying and maintaining hardenedsecure networks, including advanced knowledge of networking, routing, switching, subnetting, firewalls, ports and protocols preferred Experience with automating the provisioning of VM instances in Amazon EC2 andor other VPS environments preferred Experience with one-way transfer solutions and data flow management between security enclaves preferred Working knowledge of SIPSMS protocols and experience building Asterisk based communications solutions preferred Experience analyzing, diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving physical and virtual infrastructure related technical issues (ie, tcpdump, syslog, pcap, netflow, etc.) preferred Strong technical writing skills related to creatingediting design documents, drawing packages, training packages, etc. preferred We are GDIT.
