Responsibilities

Joining the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) means being part of the team focused on securing the Nation's physical and cyber infrastructure against threats to public health and safety, economy, and national security. Within CISA, the Office of Management provides budget and financial management, administrative services, information technology, human resources management, and procurement services that support Agency employees and its mission.

In this position, you will serve as a Management and Program Analyst, for the Branch Chief, Enterprise Services, Information Technology Operations and Services Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) within the Director of CISA. Typical work assignments include:
  • Assessing, developing, recommending and providing oversight of actions to improve organizational structure and processes, and program policies, practices, and methods.
  • Undertaking special projects and studies for the Director as related to the more complex facets of the work.
  • Providing expert technical support in providing detailed reports and recommendations to the DHS Program Offices on programmatic implementations

Qualifications

You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level in Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties:
  • Identifying strategies to improve program operations
  • Developing short and long-range plans to achieve program goals
  • Supporting Executives and Division Directors to define current and future operational and business environments for projects
  • Researching and analyzing data to evaluate program effectiveness.

Time-in-Grade Requirements: Under competitive merit promotion procedures, any individual who is currently holding, or who has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under a non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet "time-in-grade" requirements (have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the grade for which you are applying).

NOTE: Current and former employees MUST submit a copy of their SF-50 Form which shows competitive service appointment ("position occupied" block 34 on the SF-50 should show a "1"), tenure group (block 24 should show a 1 or 2), grade, and salary.
