Summary
As a Director of Operations for Strategic Communication, you will serve as a Division Director for the "business team" and will supervise experts in the visual information, digital, and resource management program areas
Location of position: GSA, Office of Strategic Communication, 1800 F Street, NW, Washington, DC
The Office of Strategic Communication is responsible for using communication to help the agency achieve its mission and business goals.

Responsibilities
Participates in directing, coordinating, and supervising of various staff through the supervision of the division by advising, guiding, and working closely with branch chiefs in the planning and accomplishment of assigned programs. Coordinates the staffing of the program, selects key staff members and promotes the training and development of the staff. Plans work to be accomplished by staff and resolves issues related to performance. Assumes full authority and responsibility for the management of the program in the absence of the Associate Administrator; including facilitating the day-to-day operations of the organization by resolving a myriad of problems and difficulties that constantly arise in the management of a comprehensive mission, encompassing the activities and responsibilities of multiple divisions. Serves as a principal advisor to the Associate Administrator and provides input and recommendations concerning operations, significant trends, recurring problems, and similar management concerns, as well as provide feedback on a wide range of complex communications and operational issues, including providing administrative and technical direction on national communication and public affairs, and related activities. Ensures Office of Strategic Communication utilizes strong business operations and principles that maximize use of resources and achieves compliance with all rules, regulations and standards. Assesses and improves program effectiveness and/or complex management processes, projects, and systems, including reviewing specific goals and objectives; monitoring the sequences and timing of key program events and milestones; and evaluating overall program accomplishment and significant contributions in terms of program goals.

The GS-15 salary range starts at $142,701.00 per year.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience managing the development of audiovisual and digital graphic communications for the purpose of supporting significant programs and/or activities; utilizing a wide range of communication techniques to plan, develop, coordinate and implement comprehensive communications programs that involve visual communications; and, experience in communication methodologies, broadcast writing, production skills and development of digital graphics materials.
