Summary

About the Position: Program Executive Office Command Control Communications- Tactical (PEO C3T), headquartered at APG, MD develops network-centric C3T systems for the digitized Army and fields Joint C3T systems to provide an integrated information system of systems seamlessly linking every sensor, shooter, commander and support to create a common view of the battlefield. This is a high level supervisory position, managing a portfolio of Army Tactical Radios.

Responsibilities

CONTROL POINTS - 1st LEVEL SUPERVISOR; PEO C3T uses salary control points within the salary range to allow for differentiation in the level of positions within the same broadband. Therefore, the salary for the position will be set within a range from $121,316 to $166,487.
  • Serves as Supervisory Deputy Product Manager for assigned Acquisition system and/or related mission equipment. Responsible for all aspects of acquisition to include development, testing, system integration, production, fielding, sustainment and product improvements with a multi-million dollar annual budget.
  • Reviews programming documents received from HQDA to determine effect on assigned programs. Determines needed capabilities to accomplish objectives as set forth, indicating areas requiring assistance or revision by higher headquarters.
  • Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting priorities and scheduling completion, assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, evaluates work, give advice, counsel and/or instruction to subordinates on both work and administrative matters.
  • Maintains continuous liaison and monitors collaborative planning with pertinent military users, DA staff and other agencies to render advice and counsel on assigned management activities.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as the following duties: 1) Applying regulatory principles to analyze programs and select an appropriate course of action to accomplish tasks; 2) Evaluating assigned programs to ensure compliance with to pinpoint the resulting impact on areas such as scheduling and cost; and, 3) Managing areas such as the fielding, sustainment, and testing for an assigned acquisition program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-03 or GS-13 equivalent.

Education requirement for membership in the Acquisition Corps:
1) Baccalaureate degree from an accredited educational institution (you must submit your transcripts)
or
2) Possess significant potential for advancement to levels of greater responsibility and authority And
At least 24 semester credit hours of study at an accredited institution of higher education from among the following disciplines: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management
or
At least 24 semester credit hours of study at an accredited institution in the individual's AT&L Career Field and either 12 semester credit hours from among the above-listed disciplines or training in these disciplines equivalent to the 12 semester credit hours. (Training courses that carry an American Council of Education (ACE) credit recommendation may be used for equivalency.)

ACE credit recommendations may only be used to meet the 24 semester hour standard for Acquisition Corps membership if those credit recommendations have been accepted by and appear on an official transcript from an accredited institution of higher education. DAWIA provides the option to substitute equivalent training for the 12 semester credit hours applied to the 24 hours in the individual's AT&L Career Field and 12 hours in the covered disciplines. This does not apply to the option for 24 semester credit hours in the covered disciplines.
