UHS is currently recruiting for our Hospital Administrator Program at George Washington University Hospital (Washington, DC) . Since the current George Washington University Hospital building opened in 2002, physicians and nurses have been treating patients in a technologically advanced hospital. With millions of dollars of medical equipment, and a completely wireless network, GW Hospital offers advanced and innovative healthcare in a warm, friendly environment. As a multidisciplinary, tertiary care hospital, the George Washington University Hospital offers many diverse services all in one central location.   • Primary care and specialty outpatient care are available through the Medical Faculty Associates, a multi-specialty physician practice group of more than 750 physicians covering 51 specialty and subspecialty areas. The Medical Faculty Associates' doctors have offices in the Ambulatory Care Center, an outpatient clinic building located one block from the hospital.


Position Summary:

The selected candidate will provide day-to-day operations for ancillary or assigned departments. He/she will implement strategy of CEO and COO and will manage assigned departments efficiently and effectively to maximize quality of services and profits of the hospital. The selected candidate may rotate among UHS facilities on a periodic basis in order to enhance exposure to a variety of services, programs, and management styles.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

Knowledge: Knowledge of the financial implications of decisions including budgeting and forecasting for a limited number of departments and/or projects is required.

Skills: Must be detail oriented and able to focus on nuances of multiple hospital operations. Effective communication skills with diverse groups, including physicians, managers, and employees is required.

Education: Master's degree required (MBA, MHA or related program).

Work experience: Three to seven years of acute care hospital management experience at a mid or senior level.
