Experienced scrub tech who worked in accredited surgery center. Usually we start at 6 or 7 am and finish at 3 or 4 pm. Exceptional communication skills. - Conveys enthusiasm and passion. - Desire to serve the practice and be a positive liaison between Dr. and the patient. - Passion for the goals of the practice. - Must be approachable and compassionate. - Take initiative and be confident in decision making. - Ability to demonstrate concern for patient's problems and stay calm. - Knowledge of the Operating Room, familiarity with OSHA guidelines and ability to assist Dr. and clinical staff during patient and surgical days. - Great organization -Patient Care skills - Confirms surgeries, pre-operative appointments and in office procedures. - Perform Pre-operative and Post-operative exams for patients. Also, responsible for follow-up appointments, injectable, lasers, etc. - Prepares all pre-operative paperwork, calls to confirm all surgical staff for surgery. - As needed, clean all instruments used in exam room and sterilize instruments used in the operating room. - Managing restocking of exam rooms daily to ensure that Dr. has all of the necessary supplies needed throughout the day. - Prepare fillers for patient treatments - this involves attaching the proper needle for the prepackaged injectable syringes. - Assist in the office with any medical procedures and patient visits. - Accurately document in patient charts. - Make follow-up calls to patients and answer any medical questions. Operating Room Responsibilities - Order and track supplies needed for surgical cases - Ensure all Biohazard log books are kept up to date and schedule any pick-ups. - Review all surgical charts after procedure and make sure everything is appropriately filled out and all signatures are in the necessary areas. - Oversee inventory of medical supplies for exam rooms and operating room. - Help manage all credentialing paperwork for the new facility.
