They are looking for an accomplished residential designer to produce high quality CDs as well as manage two other staff designers in the Studio and manage all architectural work.JOB DESCRIPTION 5% Schematic Design25% Design Development40% Construction Document/Production Plans10% Lot Plans/Civil Site Drawings5% Sales and Marketing Plans/Elevations5% Code Analysis/Structural Design/Permitting5% Product Research/Selection/Cost Comparisons5% Quality Control and Department SchedulingPerform permitting, house locations product research, product selection, cost comparisons, structural design, architectural scheduling, code analysis and quality control.Produce quality designs and construction documents exceeding the requirements of the construction department, and sales and marketing department.Develop schematic/conceptual designs of new products in conjunction with Managing Partner and Board of DirectorsBid/Evaluate different product selections in conjunction with local vendors and make a recommendation to PurchasingMeet with subcontractors as required to resolve design issuesQualifications:Mastery of AutoCAD required.Mastery of Sketch Up, 3D Studio Max, Lumion, Photoshop, and/or other similar design software is preferred.Must have experience managing projects from schematic design through design development and construction drawings including long-term product maintenance and careful attention to details.Familiarity with historic architectural precedents as well as popular designs sold by other companiesAbout Aerotek: Your success starts with the right career opportunity.
