Responsibilities

  • As a Financial Analyst in the Corporate Investment Department, Fixed Income Division, you will:
  • Provide investment management support and assistance to identify and resolve investment and asset management issues as they relate to the PBGC investment program.
  • Perform tasks related to securing administrative management services to promote and facilitate the efficiency of various operations processes within CID.
  • Assist in conducting special projects and studies related to Investment management and the application of various strategies, systems, products, and techniques to the PBGC investment portfolio.
  • Assist in performing project management tasks as they relate to investment and manager research, technical evaluation panels for solicitations (Request For Proposals), commingling assets for terminated pension plans, and new operational initiatives.

Qualifications

You may start at GS-12, $86,335, if you meet the following minimum qualification requirements:

Specialized Experience- Specialized experience is defined as one year of experience at the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the private sector in financial or investment analysis, in investment management or investment operations functions. Examples may include: overseeing investment managers or investment accounts; reviewing investment performance reports; analyzing and reporting on investment securities or portfolios; or performing administrative, accounting and recording activities in support of investment functions.

Category Rating is being used for this position. If your resume does not support the answers you gave on the assessment questionnaire, you may be rated Not Qualified or you may be placed in a lower category. Your name will be placed in one of the three following quality categories:

Gold - highly proficient regarding the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) related to this position.
Silver - competent regarding the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) related to this position.
•Bronze- possessing only the minimum qualifications required for this position.
