Description BNL Inc. is seeking a Senior Communications Equipment Installer will be responsible for assembly, installation, and troubleshooting of equipment cabinets, communications electronics, and cryptographic equipment for the Defense Red Switch Network technology refreshment program at various CONUS and OCONUS locations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform site surveys, develop implementation plans, and create elevation drawings Enforce standards for install team, to include, but not limited to, performance and conduct. Provides technical direction and guidance to junior technicians. Attend Coordination Briefings. Ensure reports are accurate, properly edited and submitted timely to meet all suspense to leadership and the Corporate Office. Maintain Accountability of inventories and Installation Kit (IK), work closely with Government Lead to ensure accountability of Government Furnished Equipment assigned to Install teams. Update assigned personnel with latest Technical Bulletins to insure installation IAW with applicable requirements. Recognize, comply with, and enforce all safety policies of the company and federal/state regulations. Troubleshoot between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems. Perform fielding, installation, test, and troubleshooting of communications electronics in portable equipment cabinets and fixed equipment racks. Lift and carry up to 75 pounds, crawling, stooping, standing, climbing on ladders and working in confined field locations. Conduct communication equipment site surveys. May require up to 25% Travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations in support of installations. Requirements Required Skills & Qualifications Requires DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant certification (Security+ or equivalent). High School Diploma and 10 years relevant experience Have a valid US Driver's License and be able to obtain a valid passport within 30 days of employment. Experience with processes and procedures related to communications equipment site surveys for both fixed and remote environments. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and good mechanical aptitude. Direct experience and/or education/training in, communications electronics (software or hardware), Circuit-to-Packet devices, encryption devices, and COMSEC. Thorough knowledge of IP networking and Time-Division Multiplexing, electronic principles, installation techniques, use of various tools and equipment. Experience building portable equipment cabinets, installing rack mounts, and fabricating communications cabling and connectors. Experience using standard Microsoft office automation products (eg Word, PowerPoint, etc). Presentation, Coordination, and leadership skills.
