Job Description

One of the region's largest healthcare providers, is currently seeking a talented and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse Supervisor to join our growing organization. This position is based out of one of our satellite locations in DC and is responsible for the direction and supervision of all patient care services and other health care activities. The incumbent will supervise and schedule, Certified Nurse Assistants on site, perform nursing duties such as evaluating clients, wound care, medication management and administration, sign up and schedule new clients, interface with doctors and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Licensed Practical Nurse with a valid DC license
• Experience in CCRC, Nursing home, and/or home care highly preferred.
• Two years of nurse supervisory experience or more highly preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Consults with the physicians in matters relating to patient care services and carries out orders.
  • Schedules lab draws and x-rays which are done on-site
  • Perform Covid testing and tracing. Maintains Covid protocols identified by DC DOH as well as the building.
  • Resolves billing and service questions and complaints made by client and family regarding care.
  • Schedules clients and caregivers in our data base system.
  • Signs up new clients and completes new client paperwork. Enters new clients in data base.
  • Schedules flex care clients and CNAs in our data base system and confirms schedules.
  • Works closely with the main office in the opening and maintaining of ongoing cases.
  • Assists in preparing quarterly reports to the building condo association and ownership.
  • Reports and documents incidents to the Director of Clinical Services
  • Assists in the orientation of all staff who work for flex care as well as aides who work directly for hourly clients.
  • Assesses staff competency in the field. Provides training where needed.
  • Responds to medical emergencies in the building; consults with doctors and sends residents out 911 as needed
  • Participates in weekly meetings with the building
  • Ensure that staff members have been provided with orientation to comply with OSHA and infection control safety guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Reports to the Director of Clinical Services with dotted line reporting to the Executive Director and Senior Director of Flex Care.
