Westat is an employee-owned corporation providing research services to agencies of the U.S. Government, as well as businesses, foundations, and state and local governments. Westat's research, technical, and administrative staff of more than 2,000 is located at our headquarters in Rockville, Maryland, near Washington, DC.

Job Summary:
Westat has an immediate need for a part-time experienced, bilingual nutritionist to support a range of Dietary Assessment Team project work. , This position requires you to work 20-40 hours per week, during standard business hours.

Job Responsibilities:
• Dietary intake data collection, coding of menus and individual food recall data.
• Establish links between a variety of datasets.
• Provide quality control reviews of 24-hour dietary recall interviews. 
• Provide quality control review of dietary coding of intakes and database links.

Basic Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree in nutrition or dietetics.
• Experience using Microsoft Office with excellent knowledge of Excel and Access.
• Experience conducting interviews and trainings in both Spanish and English.

Preferred qualifications:
• Registered Dietitian or RD-eligible.
• At least 3 years prior experience as a dietary coder with knowledge of the USDA SurveyNet application and the USDA Food and Nutrient Database for Dietary Studies.
• At least 3 years prior experience as a dietary recall interviewer with knowledge of the USDA AMPM dietary recall instrument.

Candidates should have excellent communication and organizational skills, be detail oriented and work collaboratively in a team environment.
