We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our Small non profit team for a 6 month contract. We are looking for around 4-5 years experience, take a look at the job description below and feel free to send your resume!

Duties:
  • Assist with Open Enrollment and administer employee benefits of medical, dental, life insurance, 401K, FSA, HSA, open enrollment and health fairs, leave. Preparing benefits and compliance reporting, such as employee census or enrollment reports.
  • Assist with the ADP data project and self-service rollout.
  • Review HR workflows and assist the VP with creating process documentation and workflow maps.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Maintain records and complete employment transactions. Coordinate the staffing change approval workflow process.
  • Crafting HR policies and assisting with employee handbook updates.
  • Craft job descriptions (or update job descriptions into new format) and ensure that all current job descriptions are updated to our online library for staff/manager access.
  • Complete special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions.
  • Protect organization by keeping information confidential and properly handling sensitive data and information. Understands and complies with HIPAA and privacy laws.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Experience working for a non-profit, national and/or global organization is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of human resource management experience required.
  • Some experience in payroll and leave administration is strongly preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, or other HR certification is a plus.
