Raven Aerostar is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of Business Development Manager II to identify and collaborate with DoD stakeholders on Raven Aerostar's Stratospheric products and services. The successful candidate will identify and shape near-term and long-term opportunities, build a pipeline and conduct activities associated with opportunity identification, qualification and capture. Essential Functions Identify emerging and growing defense markets and opportunities while maintaining continuous, detailed insight into customer budgets and allocations. Work closely with management team to define and implement a pursuit strategy critical to the success of the organization. This includes identifying and selecting customers best aligned with the organization s strategy and focus areas and developing and tracking contact plans for the customer community Promote the Raven Aerostar brand identity within customer communities and introduce new customers to Raven products and services. Develop detailed senior customer advocacy plans for core customers in DOD and the Intelligence Community (IC). Assess customer capability gap requirements and support activities that advance program technology solutions, planning, business opportunity identification and validation, capture plan development and execution, and customer interaction management. Provide sales order forecasting to support company and division financial goals Attend and actively participate in Aerospace and Defense user forums, conferences, and industry association events across our customer base. Develop plans, schedule, and lead representation at trade shows and conferences Additional Functions Assist with the development of new products. Determine costs and pricing for products. Encourage team member growth and development. Develop and execute budgets, strategic plans, policies, procedures, and initiatives. Oversee and ensure various programs essential to business development are established and maintained to division standards. Assist with the evaluation of potential acquisitions or partnerships. Qualifications 8+ years of experience with industry Business Development in the DOD, specifically US Army and/or US Navy; Prior military service desired. Knowledge of DoD appropriations and the PPBE process Ability to engage key client stakeholders to identify needs, discuss firm capabilities and services Ability to work as part of an integrated Business Development and Program Management team in a matrixed organization with a collaborative and a team-centric culture Secret clearance required with TS/SCI preferred Bachelor s degree in business, engineering, or related field. Strong presentation skills . Demonstrated leadership abilities. Capability to coach, mentor, and empower team members to succeed. Ability to motivate team members. Capacity to be flexible and multitask. Proficient with a computer, including Microsoft Office. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff. Travel up to 50% of time. Annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check required. We are a manufacturer covered by ITAR 22 CFR 120-130 and all team members must be a United States Person.
