The Ridge School seeks to hire a Assistant Director of Education who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As the Assistant Director of Education, you will:
•Oversee and coordinate the implementation of the education program.
•Provide direct supervision and support to special education teachers and teacher assistants.
•Serve as day-today operations manager of Ridge School. Ensures school compliance as it pertains to teachers, instructional programming, classroom and library inventories and master scheduling based on OSSE and MSDE regulations.
•Coordinate development of a school-wide curriculum and conducts ongoing classroom observations to ensure consistence across classrooms.
•Provide feedback on strengths and professional development needs of teachers and teacher assistants through the PDP process.

Qualifications Include:
•Masters degree in education or a related field required
•MSDE teacher certificate or certification as a school administrator----a provisional teacher certificate is not acceptable
•A minimum of 3 years of teacher supervisory experience
•Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and regional regulations regarding special education
•Experience working in a special education school setting for students with emotional disabilities
•Extensive knowledge and understanding of child and adolescent psychopathology

Work Schedule:

Day shift, Monday through Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM. Additional hours as needed based on the school's calendar.
