Ref ID: 02010- 124 Classification: Accounting Clerk Compensation: $15.04 to $19.23 hourly An Accounting Clerk is being sought by Accountemps in the Service industry, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term temporary employment based in the Baltimore, Maryland area. Thrive in an energetic, team-oriented environment in this position, which offers room for growth. Your responsibilities - Work with Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing - General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects - Post financial figures to journals and ledgers - Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources - Assemble documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes - Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required - Work with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance Job Requirements: - Candidates with Spreadsheet and ERP system experience will be prioritized - AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred - Data entry experience - Microsoft Excel experience preferred - 2+ years of relevant experience - Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment Accountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches highly skilled professionals with accounting finance jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
