Ref ID: 04530- 784 Classification: Accounting Clerk Compensation: $15.84 to $18.34 hourly Accountemps is looking to fill a position for an Accounting Clerk for a well-respected organization in the detail oriented services industry. In this position, you will be responsible for playing an essential role in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), general data entry, and aligning invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers. This is a short-term temporary position located in the Falls Church, Virginia area. Key responsibilities - Publish financial information to journals and ledgers - Assist Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing - Remedy discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required - Support Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance - Order documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes - Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources - General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects Job Requirements: - 1+ years of relevant experience - Ability to multitask and meet deadlines - Outstanding data entry skills - AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred - Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus - Microsoft Excel experience desired Accountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches highly skilled professionals with accounting finance jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
