We serve from the heart.We are currently in need of a committed person to perform the duties of Dietary Cook.The duties for this position include but are not limited to prepare food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations under the supervision of the Dietary Manager, while maintaining all records of proper food temperatures from cooking through meal service. Assist dietary aides in conducting the needs of the department each day. Act as department supervisor in the absence of the Dietary Manager.Minimum Qualifications;Experience in preparing foods in large quantities while controlling waste.Knowledge of healthcare specific dietary and texture modifications to safely feed the residents of the facility.Complete knowledge of safe food handling, to include wrapping, labeling, dating and disposal of food products.Knowledge of HACCP and its application in food production.Organized and detailed in work performance.Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience.Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility.Comply with the Residents' Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures.The Dietary Cook must know the protocols of food processes along with local, state and federal rules. Schedule includes an alternate weekend rotation.
