Overview Our Energy Client is seeking a Senior Level RedHat Administrator to help support middleware projects aligned to some strategy projects impacting their Utility client. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2 System Administration, practical hands on experience supporting project-related efforts involving the following: file systems management server availability user administration for AD/LDAP working with OS resolving hardware issues as they arise 2. CentOS Linux Distribution v.7/8 understands OS repositories life cycle management perform upgrades and patching 3. Practical Scripting/Automation experience: Ansible, Python or Shell Must be able to automate labor intensive efforts. (IE) User account creation 4. Network File Systems Protocol and Fiber attached Storage experience Daily Duties The Sr. Solaris 11/Red Hat Linux Engineer will provide design, engineering, level III support and configuration of Solaris and Red Hat Linux enterprise environment consisting of 2000 Solaris 11 Servers running on Oracle T hardware and about 500 RedHat Enterprise Servers. This group handles the enterprise architecture design and planning for our client and their customers as well as tier 3 resolution for any new services that are implemented into the enterprise. This person will provide installation and support of operating system, software and patches for about 350 Servers. PHI is integrating another 300 Servers as well. This person will assist with the daily maintenance and operation support of the Solaris 11 UNIX, EMC-Storage, Veritas Volume Manager, Oracle RAC, environment: This group's core functions are: 1. CPU: Computing 2. Memory 3.Storage 4. Networking/Cloud/On Prem Additional Qualifications Hands on configuration experience is required. This is to support Project related efforts involving Open source technologies that would include RedHat Persons should have strong scripting skills: Perl, Korn or Shell Preferred Qualifications Persons should have strong scripting skills: Perl, Korn or Shell Ansible experience is a huge plus. Work Environment This is a project effort impacting the Middleware/Open Source Engineering team. This is a fast paced environment. This team supports about 2000 Solaris 11 Servers within a clustered environment with Oracle Databases(RAC) as well as 350-500 RedHat Linux Servers within a clustered environment.
