What will you be doing?In this role, you'll be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turret or electric pallet jack to move product within the warehouse. You'll be organizing orders to be picked efficiently, selecting orders by pulling, stacking and labeling merchandise and bringing it to the staging area all while maintaining the highest level of safety.Primary Responsibilities:Operate material handling equipment to move product within the warehouseOrganize orders to be picked in an efficient mannerSelect orders by pulling, stacking and labeling merchandise and bringing it to the staging areaStack empty pallets: clean and sweep work area and remove trash regularlyPerform all tasks to ensure a safe work environmentAbility to work at heights up to 40 feet or more as neededMHE experience necessary (ie Driving forklift, cherry picker, turret or Electric Pallet Jack) Will be trained on the proper safety procedures and elimination of potential hazardsOther duties and responsibilities as assignedQualificationsMinimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experienceMust be at least 18 years of ageAble to work a rotating schedule: two weeks of Monday - Wednesday and then two weeks of Thursday - SaturdayFull-Time associates must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; additional overtime hours will be required based on business needsAbility to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipmentPrior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack and cherry picker helpfulAbility to work at heights up to 30 feet or more as neededPassing a background and/or drug screen may be requiredBasic English language skills (both verbal and written communications)Staples is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
