We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.**_We have an immediate need for an HVAC Technician Apprentice to work in the Northeast states and surrounding areas, including but not limited to Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware to perform HVAC operations, maintenance and repair services._ As an HVAC Technician Apprentice, you'll be involved with the following:**As a HVAC Technician Apprentice, you will be primarily responsible for assisting HVAC Field Technicians in the installation and repair of environmental control systems, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, control systems, pipe fitting, and structural layouts. In this position you will establish & maintain a positive relationship with customers, vendors and co-workers through effective oral and written communication skills via phone, computer, and face to face. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and service requests including repairs, replacement, and modifications of equipment or systems as needed or requested by customers. Communicating with customers and/or Project Managers regarding inspection/service findings is required.+ Perform preventative maintenance, repairs and replacement on a variety of heating and cooling equipment including steam systems.+ Responsible for assisting and learning end to end testing, starting up, commissioning, and servicing on assigned projects.+ Represent the company by learning to serve as the direct customer contact and is responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, analyzing, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customer locations.+ Coordinate with supervising Field Technician and customers to precisely understand requirements for all on-site installation and repairs by extensively examining building layouts, forecasting issues, gathering materials and synchronizing on-site work.+ Use cutting edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.+ Continually enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security and accountability of company issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions.+ Display team effort and dedication to customer by maintaining flexibility to work on call, overtime and weekends as the business requires, including overnight stays.+ Work closely with NORESCO's Measurement and Verification (M&V) group.+ Track changes customer facilities that may affect the performance of installed ECMs, and, working with engineers from M&V and Analysis, develop non-routine adjustments to baseline and/or post-installation energy use to account where necessary reconciliation of verified and guaranteed savings.**Qualifications:**+ A High School Diploma or equivalent and 0-2 years of experience in HVAC is required. Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning with EPA Universal refrigerant certification is preferred.+ Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with hand held computer (ie Smartphone, iPad).+ Able to travel 50%+ Mental alertness and ability to concentrate with distractions nearby+ Ability to stand, stoop, reach, bend, climb and crawl+ This position requires working in diverse locations and conditions including but not limited to mechanical equipment rooms where there can be potential exposure to noisy operating equipment, exposure to extreme weather conditions, precarious places, and proximity to electricity including high voltage. Detailed safety review must be completed and reviewed prior to any work.
