Facilities Applications Analyst

The George Mason University, Facilities Department is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Facilities Application Analyst. Responsibilities: The Facilities Applications Analyst is a member of the Facilities Technology team, which provides essential support for e-Builder and other applications. A key player in planning, implementing, testing, and managing this application to meet the University's and Facilities' strategic goals. Working with our Facilities departments, you will design custom applications to help improve productivity. The incumbent applies technical and functional project lifecycle knowledge to assist in the delivery and improvement of many facilities applications. The incumbent works cooperatively with Facilities customers to ensure that value-added technical service and project needs are met in a timely and responsive manner. This involves a combination of systems analysis, data extraction, report generation, and problem-solving. Activities include documenting needs, developing requirements, writing specifications, designing solutions, and resolving production problems. Duties require strong interpersonal skills using both written and verbal communication working with administrative and operations customers in the department.

Required Qualifications: * Working technical knowledge of application development with proven ability to create and document business requirements, business processes and project plans; * Experience working with customers to develop ad-hoc reports; understand technical information and translating it into terminology which corresponds to the end-user needs; * Experience in providing primary application support; * Extensive practical knowledge in report writing software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flowcharts; * Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred; or demonstrated related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in Project/Construction Management software as e-Builder, Procore, AssetWorks, or Famis.
