Application Analyst
University Life is currently seeking applications from qualified candidates for an Application Analyst. University Life Project and Process Management and Technology Services provide shared resources for both project and process management, as well as technology resources for University Life. These units serve as strategic partners in providing services to units including the Mason Care Network, which this position primarily serves.
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of University Life Project and Process Management, this position provides IT platform support for the departmental enterprise software systems and any integrations for the Mason Care Network. This position will serve as the single point of contact for new system implementations and on-going platform maintenance, technical platform reviews and interfacing with central IT for approvals. This position will also provide support for desktop and other needed equipment. Further, this position will ensure the confidentiality and security of all information. This position will serve as a team member of both the University Life Project and Process Management and Technology Services departments. * Provides IT platform support for enterprise software systems and any integrations for the Mason Care Network; * Collaborates with IT staff and vendors to provide operational support for end users; * Provides training for users of the platform; * Creates and maintains functional and technical documentation; * Provides support for staff technology equipment in coordination with ITS; * Serves as back-up for providing Salesforce support to University Life units; * Assists with other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in the IT field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; * Information technology background with experience in managing enterprise applications; * Excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated success with customer service and satisfaction; * Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; * Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail; * Ability to work in a collaborative team environment; * Ability to define customers' business requirements in order to analyze and design new applications to satisfy business needs; * Ability to analyze technical issues and problems effectively; * Experience performing technical user support, testing system releases, patches and upgrades; * Ability to understand relational database designs; demonstrate a strong combination of systems, data, and business analysis skills; * Demonstrated ability to understand and/or anticipate organizational needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Preferred Qualifications: * At least five years of experience in providing application administration for enterprise customer systems; * Experience with troubleshooting within an ETL tool; * Knowledge of APIs for developing and troubleshooting integrations; * Technical understanding of the Salesforce platform and its capabilities; * Salesforce Lightning Connector and relational databases; * SFDC Administrator Certification preferred (or equivalent experience).
