Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include leading the management and direction of SX's mission to create, collect and broker authoritative GEOINT content and services that return value-driven solutions that satisfy customer needs from a diverse GEOINT supplier market. Additionally, the incumbent will continue to expand and build relationships with private, traditional and non-traditional partners alike. The Deputy Director, SX also leads integrated collection management activities with other intelligence agencies, and facilitates relationships with allies. Responsible for the successful, uninterrupted conduct of 24X7 operations across the following functional areas: Source Strategy Development; Tasking/Broker Management; Sensor Mission Management/Mission Partner Relations, NTM Imagery, OPIR, DoD Airborne, Open Source, Commercial Satellite, and other; Data Receipt and Processing; Data Delivery; Customer Service/Customer Satisfaction; Enterprise Support and Sustainment. Leads efforts to completely integrate the full capabilities of each of these functions. Responsible for ensuring continuous operational integration with governmental mission partners and commercial satellite imagery providers in support of national policy makers and warfighters. Along with the D/SX, the DD/SX transforms the current processes in accordance with the NGA strategy. When required, the Deputy Director/SX, represents NGA at appropriate USG, IC, DoD, ASG and industry forums. The incumbent adheres to and promulgates NGA's mission, vision and core values to include promoting a culture of respect.

Security Clearance and Access Level: This position requires access to classified Defense Department and Intelligence Community information. The individual selected must already possess, or be immediately eligible for, a TOP SECRET security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. U.S. citizenship is required for the granting of a security clearance. Joint Duty Credit: All NGA executive level positions require Joint Duty credit. Employees will receive joint duty credit for almost any service or rotational assignment that was at least at the GS/GG-13 or DCIPS Pay Band 3 level, and generally for at least one year, or for 179 days or more when deployed to a designated combat zone on or after September 11, 2001. Note: Applicants without Joint Duty credit may apply for the position and can be considered. If selected, a waiver would be required prior to final appointment or provide proof of Joint Duty qualifying experience.

Qualifications

Eligibility for this executive level position will be based upon a clear demonstration that the applicant has experience of the scope and quality sufficient to effectively carry out the assignments of the position. The successful applicants will be distinguished from other applicants by a review of the following Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs), the Intelligence Community (IC) Senior Officer Core Qualification (SOCQ) Standard, and the Technical Qualifications.
