Summary

About the Position: The Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC) is headquartered at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland with activities located at Fort Belvoir, Fort Hood, Fort Huachuca, and Logistics Assistance Representatives stationed in eight countries. The ILSC mission is to provide global C4ISR logistics support to the warfighter and coalition forces, in a timely, cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in conjunction with demand planning or associated functions within the Logistics Modernization Program.
  • You will provide material support by the integrated management or control of communications-electronics major and/or secondary items.
  • Conduct research in conjunction with demand planning or associated functions within the Logistics Modernization Program.
  • Manage readiness support elements at a national inventory control point which includes requirements determination, distribution or redistribution of material, procurement authorization or funds management.
  • Provide statistical advice or assistance to Logistics Modernization Program users.
  • Participate in policy making, procedural discussions or meetings to relay decisions/comments for the directorate.

  • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level 2 in Acquisition Career Field Life Cycle Logistics within 24 months of entrance on duty.

  • Due to the impact of the Coronavirus, individuals with entrance of duty dates prior to April 1, 2021 will have an additional 12 months to meet the certification requirements, up to a total of 36 months.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify for this position, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (NH-02) equivalent pay band in the Federal service which includes: Specialize experience is defined as inventory accuracy, executing demand planning and material requirements planning. Providing input into rebuild and disposal direction; coordinating repair strategies to initiate component repairs and resolve inventory management problems. Preparing and communicating status regarding supply availability and execute procurement actions for material.
