The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Production Branch Team Lead, Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3) Analytic Group (AG).

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that Production Branch activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
  • Creates and maintains operational and metrics databases, intelligence reporting files, and other relevant documentation required to successfully capture, track, and archive AG intelligence reporting operations.
  • Serves as an all-source analyst on semi-complex to complex analysis and production activities.
  • Represents AG with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

  • This is a Centrally Managed position. Mobility is a condition of employment. The employee must sign an Air Force-wide mobility agreement
  • Incumbent is required to undergo a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination
  • Incumbent must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. While conducting required coordination with AFOSI/DC3 field units and national-level counterparts, incumbent will frequently be required to travel, by vehicle, through Washington DC area
  • Overtime may be required as workload demands and in some cases with no-notice due to urgency of time-sensitive matters. Periodic shift work may be required if assigned as a watch-standing analyst
  • Travel by regularly scheduled commercial or military conveyance in accordance with Joint Travel regulations may be required in performance of temporary duty
  • Incumbent will occasionally be required on temporary duty throughout the world including to remote locations with limited facilities. These temporary duty assignments could range from short duration to 179 days and longer.
  • While every effort will be made to schedule these assignments well in advance of the travel, travel may be required with extremely limited notice. It is imperative incumbent have an unlimited ability to perform such travel.

Qualifications

This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: kowledge of the interplay of geographical, political, military, economic, and industrial forces in various regions of the world as well as intelligence and IP/IO threat entities, operations, and capabilities that may be directed against USAF, DoD and other US resources; knowledge of US intelligence community policies, entities, missions, resources, operations, capabilities, databases, and requirements to perform intelligence research planning, operations collection, target analysis, and other intelligence collection related activities. NOTE: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

1. Knowledge of the interplay of geographical, political, military, economic, and industrial forces in various regions of the world as well as intelligence and IP/IO threat entities, operations, and capabilities that may be directed against USAF, DoD and other US resources.
2. Knowledge of US intelligence community policies, entities, missions, resources, operations, capabilities, databases, and requirements to perform intelligence research planning, operations collection, target analysis, and other intelligence collection related activities.
3. Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methodologies of intelligence analysis and research to include link analysis and database manipulation.
4. Skill in coordinating the production of finished intelligence reports and other products designed to meet the specific needs of customers to include: conducting original research; organizing and analyzing complex information derived from multiple sources; resolving conflicts; and presenting clear and concise findings. Skill in handling classified data in accordance with established DoD procedures.
5. Ability to coordinate and direct quickly the assimilation of disparate data and render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implications of such data; to make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure based on mature judgment, experience and recognized professional standing; and to present and argue for a position effectively.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
