We are looking for a dynamic LoB Vice President to join our team in Falls Church, VA! The LoB Vice President is a leader who can not only manage a portfolio but can roll up their sleeves and be an active participant on the team. The LoB Vice President is a senior leader responsible for Profit and Loss Management and Operations to include, but not be limited to, overseeing the management of backlog business, strategizing, and ensuring a high success rate on recompetes, and capturing market organic growth on contracts. The LoB Vice President should have proven Profit and Loss leadership experience and should be a subject matter expert (SME)/thought leader supporting business development and solution delivery for a broad range of DoD and VA (or other Fed/Civil) opportunities, including those related to information technology, program management, process improvement, or audit support. The LoB Vice President leads and develops a business plan to grow market share, consistent with the overall corporate strategy. This senior leader also provides input to, and support for, the execution of business plans by other Vice Presidents. The LoB Vice President will report to the Chief Operating Officer Executive and will serve as a member of Company senior management team. Responsibilities Ensure portfolio projects are delivered with high quality, within budget, and on time Develop and nurture strategic and tactical relationships with industry partners to deliver the best value solutions to Government clients Ensure that Business and Operations plans, goals, and policies are consistent with established company goals Lead or collaborate with a Program Management Office (PMO) for operational excellence and quality management of the programs. Support the implementation of the Corporate Quality Management System Obtain/understand client insight, develop/communicate/implement client contact plans, shape potential request for proposal (RFP) requirements, gather competitive intelligence and assess the competitive environment, develop prime/subcontractor options and teaming strategies, develop value propositions and win themes, and create innovative and competitive pricing strategies Serve as capture manager for designated major business opportunities and designated sustainment activities Formulate business development and operating budgets and manage to those budgets Develop, coordinate, and execute strategic growth campaigns and new market opportunities Serve as the SME on projects and/or proposals if required Requirements The ideal candidate will have: Minimum 8 years of experience in government services consulting and/or business development Superior leadership and management experience of leading geographically dispersed employee teams delivering on government contracts Proven financial management and P&L experience of managing a portfolio in the Government Contracting industry Experience leading operating organizations, inspiring and building high performing team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, gathering necessary information, synthesizing complex and diverse information to support decision making in a timely manner Ability to communicate a clear vision and create compelling strategic messages from operational and tactical sources Superior verbal communication skills and ability to provide executive briefs to (external and internal) leadership and to interact with the public, peers, and Company management Ability to take initiative, multi-task, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work individually and in teams Proactive, persuasive, and energetic personality Possess established client relationships and be known among Industry partners Ability to lead strategic account planning, prioritization, pipeline development as well as in-depth knowledge of government contracting, acquisition trends and customer buying behaviors Account ownership and oversight including participation and development of strategy, implementation, monitoring and reporting performance, briefing leadership, and meeting all account goals Outstanding writing and editing skills with business, marketing, and technical material Experience developing winning proposals Proven track record of successful business development and business management experience Excellent communication, interpersonal, coaching, and leadership skills Strong business planning skills and financial acumen Ability to work in a close team environment and maintain positive relationships with co-workers US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a Security clearance / Public Trust Desired PMP and other relevant certifications are highly desired Education Bachelor s degree Highly Desired: Master of Science (MS), Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent degree Other education, commensurate experience, and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted
